10 Best AI Logo Generators of 2024
Don’t worry, if you’re an established logo designer, your job is still safe; and I think your value proposition is solidified. None of these tools are very good and they are not actually using AI. They’re just picking fonts and colors and pairing them with an icon based on a few keywords and then trying to get you to pay for the generated file. Anyone who wants a logo for $65 is probably not who you wanted to work with. I’m including the link in case you want to click on it, but that’s not the point. The fact that there is a top ten list is indicative of a larger problem; an expectation of cheap design prices in the age of AI. Check it out, but raise your rates.
Goodbye Graphic Designers, Hello Cole!
On a similar note, I first wrote about Cole on 12/4, and I think it’s part of that same disturbing trend. While it’s still just a research paper, it will be a product soon and it fills that space occupied by Canva and Adobe Express. There are a whole bunch of clever people who just need a quick design solution and can now do it without a graphic designer. While this won’t hurt my bottom line, I remember how grateful I was for small jobs when I had just finished school. I think a lot of entry level freelance work is going to go away. How Long Does it Take to Get ‘that thing’ in Midjourney?
Sure, Midjourney is super fun to play with and as addictive as a slot machine and in the beginning I patted myself on the back for ‘my’ creative outcomes. However, when you have a deadline or a deliverable, it can be really frustrating as you mutter, “Maybe I can just fix it in Photoshop”.
