SDXL 1.0 is Here and it’s Amazing!
At tis point, I think that Stable Diffusion can generate images as good as Midjourney. It still takes a little more effort and the UI is confusing, bit it’s free and open source. Just Pick Two Tools…
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the sheer volume of new tools to use, this article suggests that you just choose two (it doesn’t say which ones) and get really good at them. The guiding principle should be ‘How can you add value to your organization or improve your workflow’.
Using AI in Education
This will probably come as a surprise to nobody, but I’m doubling down on using AI tools in education. I have two teenagers at home and I’ll tell them they same ting I’ll tell my incoming students, with this quote from the following article:
Today, AI is the new productivity reality. It is not going away. Lean in. Grab it. Master it. Or get out of the way. And if you are an educator, upskill your students now instead of holding them back.
Midjourney 6 is coming in August
Just as Stable Diffusion hit a point of parity, the image generator arms race will escalate with the release of Midjourney 6. While this is till in the rumor phase, expect to see the following:
Higher Resolution
More Accurate and Detailed
Increase Degree of Control
More Diversity in Image Type
And a standalone website, so no more Discord!
