And Now, WIX Has an AI Website Builder
Wix, a popular template-based website builder, just unveiled their conversational AI website generator, which will let you create entire websites by typing a description into a box and answering a few questions. First it was Framer, and then Webflow, and a whole host of new tools headed to market (Durable, Dora, etc). It’s going to be hard to justify teaching HTML from now on. Not that I care about WIX, but if you use it, learn more here.
Architects Actually Using AI Generated Images
Seattle Architecture firm Olson Kundig created a special website with concept images of potential structures and communities that could mold downtown Seattle’s future as part of a broader approach coined “Space Needle Thinking.” While image credits only list ‘third-party AI programs’, I think it was Midjourney. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Chat GPT for Architects
Even though I know that none of my subscribers are actual architects, I’ll just keep the A-train rolling with Chat GPT for Architects and Designers. The images generated in Midjourney are unbelievable and the prompting instructions will help expand your AI world view.
A Deep Dive Into Stable Doodle
I briefly mentioned Stable Doodle last week, but I didn’t actually do the work and go to much effort to test drive it. That’s why I was humbled by this article by Christie C. and realized I had work to do. If you’re interested, you can see some of my examples on my YouTube channel or you can read her article here.
Consistent Characters in Midjourney
Midjourney seems to be getting better every week and it’s dedicated users keep pushing the boundaries of what it’s capable of. I really enjoy articles from John Walter, and I found his Character Consistency article really helpful. If you’d prefer a video, then check this one from the always amazing Chris Heidorn.
Text in AI Generated Images?
While most of the AI image generators produce gibberish or blobs when asked to produce typography, Deep Floyd, the new kid on the block, is producing impressive results. While it’s on pause at this moment, hopefully it’s back online when you read this.
Just How Good is Leonardo?
Really frickin’ good! Because it’s based on Stable Diffusion and you can select a certain ‘model’ for your base image, it’s always getting better. Because I know read everything he writes, start with this article from Paul DelSignore about the three new models in Leonardo, and if you’re still hungry chomp down on this one about training your own custom model.

My Favorite New Content Creator: Obscurious
As you’ve probably figured out, I spend a lot of time on YouTube trying to keep up with the latest trends in generative tools. If you’re interested in using Midjourney’s Pan and Zoom tools along with Photoshops’s generative fill to make mind-blowing videos, you’ll get a lot of value out of this video.
That’s it for this week. Hope your summer is filled with learning. If you’re getting some value out of this newsletter, I’d be thrilled if you sent it to a friend.
