While I am currently very excited about the generative video tools I’m learning, I’m also very concerned about the future of the industry and supportive of the striking writers and actors. On the more troubling front, I read that 96% of Entertainment companies plan on increasing their spending on generative AI tools, which probably means less jobs for people. On the exciting front, RunwayML has a new ‘Watch’ feature where they showcase the work of emerging AI Filmmakers. You’ll need to be logged in to see it. WPP’s CEO told Reuters savings from generative AI can be “10 to 20 times.”
